Cake Smash Prep | No Sew Pennant Banner

Today, I am doing a cake smash session. I am so excited because they are so much fun! For this session, I made a fabric pennant banner and I want to show you how I made it, in case you need one of your own! I used HeatNBond to stop the fraying and add stability to my pennants. This is my second banner that I have made using this method. It is a little time consuming (took me about two - three hours) but it lasts! I ended up with two banners about six feet long. Each pennant is eight inches long with a 10 in drop. Supplies: Cardstock [to make your pennant stencil] Ruler Pencil 1.5 yards of fabric HeatNBond (no sew version) Twine or Jute Scissors Iron & Ironing Board Step One: Make your triang

This is New Mexico.

Last weekend, I went on a little expedition. I hiked out behind our neighborhood to capture some pictures of the Organ Mountain Range. Which is, um, BEAUTIFUL! But I digress. I got about halfway through my short hike, when I realized I was definitely marching right through coyote territory. And tarantulas. And rattlesnakes (thank goodness it is kind of cool!). I had a decision to make. Either go back and save myself. Or keep going because I am almost there and I haven't been eaten yet. I kept going. These are a few of my favorite images from that day. I posted them on my Facebook page, and asked my followers to vote on their favorite photo. Can you guess which one is winning? Head on over to
